this is the first woodblock position of the 45sen plate . this series is prone to weak numerals, likely due to sanding of the register block or the ink paste applied ... compare to the M2 50sen below, which show a greater range of both shades and clarity of print.
the series appeared on K-series tourist sheets (casey-mono17) ... but without OP ...
I discovered items /w OP in 2012.
